FOLLOW FRIDAY! and her Chocolate Lover's Cake

This Friday I am posting "Follow Friday!" As I am out visiting blogs, there are some that I visit more. I like to visit a blog that is happy and positive. I love recipes and crafts. I like it when I get an idea of who I am spending time with.

Now for the blog I am following, visit http://mymixofsix.blogspot.com/

On my first visit to this blog I saw the family photo. I KNEW I WAS DOING THIS IN THE SPRING!!! I love the idea. II have 6 children, (plus me and Doug). And, 7 letters in our last name. I am at the point where kidults are getting married and having children. What a PERFECT way to keep my family picture up to date. Thank-you a lot for this idea. (5 January, 2010)

I kept visiting her blog, occasionally. Then I read her "Random" post. (7 April, 2010) It was me. What do I want my blog to be when it grows up? Just like hers. My blog is my journal, cook-book and and craft file. I love how she puts her recipes on "recipe cards". I am glad that she has the file on the side so I can find what I am looking for. (That is on my list to learn how to do.) She is big on holidays and so are we:) (You would be amazed at some things that were done to us by the Leprechaun thru the years.)

I have gotten to know the family a bit thru stories and pictures (I did not look at the disected buffalo eyes.)

I love it when blogs are written to share. This week I am sharing Shauna_Rae's "Chocolate Lover's Cake" (7 April, 2010) This cake was easy and fast to make. It is dence and moist. We especially like the chocolate sauce. It is not a thick fudge sauce, but is a very nice chocolate sauce. I really liked that it did not use chocolate chips.
Chocolate Lover's Cake

1 Devil's Food cake mix
4 eggs
1/2 cup veg. oil
1/2 cup water
8 oz. sour cream (I used light)
1 small pack INSTANT chocolate pudding
1 cup chocolate chips (I may try white chocolate next time)

Mix all the ingredieants well and pour into a well greased bundt pan. I sprayed my Tupperware silicone bundt pan before I mixed the cake, and then sprayed it again before putting the mix into the pan. Let it cool COMPLETELY before inverting onto a plate. Mine came out great.

Chocolate Sauce

1 cup butter-melt in larger size pan, then add
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
Stir over low heat until the sugar is completely disolved, then add
1 can evaporated milk

Bring to a boil and boil and stir for 4 minutes, then add
1 tea. vanilla

Serve the cake with chocolate topping and canned whipped cream :^) This is easy and looks very nice. (Much better than my picture.)Thank-you, Mark and Ashley for bringing some vanilla back from Mexico for me :^)

I am looking forward to sharing some of my favourite blogs with you on Fridays. Tell me some of your favourites and why, if you would like to.

I am trying an experiment this week-end. If it works, it will FOR SURE be in my 10 Things on Monday :)

Wow, this recipe looks excellent! Thanks for posting it and her blog. The Termeer's and Tilley's are now in the process of doing the family name as well. I think it is such a good idea! I'll have to send you an email of our finished product when we are done. She has such good ideas. Thanks for sharing!
