I have been making this heart chocolate chip cookie for my children, for Valentine's Day, since 1988. The recipe makes 1 large heart shaped cookie. I used to make it 7 times so they could each have one. Now, I just make 1 for Doug.
Big Heart Chocolate Chip Cookie
from "The Friend" June, 1988
Beat (I just use a wooden spoon)1/3 cup softened margarine/butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tea. vanilla (I forgot to put this in the picture)
Add
1 cup flour
1/2 tea. baking soda
1/2 tea. baking soda
1/4 tea. salt
Stir in
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts (opt.) (I put them in because Doug likes them:^)
Put into sprayed (and I flour this) heart (or round) pan.
Bake at 375* for 12 -17 minutes. Cool before removing.
